London Trip

Many of the places we visited didn't allow photography: The National Gallery, The Tate Britain, the Tate Modern, The Courtauld Gallery, The Wallace Collection... so they won't be represented here. We spent 3 days at the National Gallery alone. One of the high points there was seeing Van Eyck's Arnolfini Wedding and the Man in the Red Turban. At the Courtauld we saw Manet's Bar at the Folies-Bergère, Renoir's La Loge, and Van Gogh's self portrait after he'd cut his ear. At the Wallace I saw Fragonard's The Swing, numerous surprisingly large painting by Boucher... At the Tate Britain there was a fabulous exhibit of Turners.. There was so much.. wish I had photos of them all...
